Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Well, I sure know I'm gonna have a happy one. I have tons and tons of PowerBook 5300s to play with! Well actually 4, but who's counting? I am supposed to cover Apple news, but unfortunately, there isn't much to speak of. If you want to nitpick, might I suggest Macrumors ?

Yesterday my dear mother (thanks) drove me to Graham, NC to do a trade of some sorts. I had to part with my beloved iMac G4, sacrificing it for the cost of expanding my Apple orchard. In fact, I also got rid of my half-broken Blueberry iMac. I also had to give up one of my copies of Tiger and a couple hard drives. My Wallstreet is gone too. What have I acquired?

4 Powerbook 5300cs-s
2 iMac G3s (one Grape iMac DV, one Bondi original iMac)
2 Sawtooth Power Mac G4s (one 400MHz one 500MHz)
several keyboards+mice
Needless to say, I have a lot of setting up to do. Pics to come!
Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

Early morning ramblings...

Why is it that when you make a huge mess, it is IMPOSSIBLE to clean up? I was organizing my miscellaneous CDs last night, and I could not for the life of me get them to fit back in their original spots! I ended up having to reorganize the whole thing, which took nearly 2 hours.

On a better note, I got my Titanium PowerBook G4 last night! It replaces teh outgoing Dual 800MHz Quicksilver. I decided to sell it yesterday morning because it sounded like a 747 at bootup. My dual 800 actually had some pretty nasty overheating issues, so it's actually a pretty good trade, I think. Besides, when I want to get rid of it, prices for TiBooks are outrageously high! There's a 400MHz one with a DEAD BATTERY for like $425 on the local Craigslist. You'd think that they would have gone down significantly since Leopard...

Expect a full review soon!

Mah Macs!!!

Okay, first we have my Wallstreet. Specs:
233MHz G3
160MB RAM
2GB HD
OS 8.6

Next, my PowerMac G4. I will be getting rid of this in less than two hours, so it's a good thing I woke up early!
dual 800MHz
1GB RAM
200 gigs o' space
Tiger

Next, my beloved iLamp G4. Currently chillin' as an iTunes jukebox.
Specs:
700MHz G4
384MB RAM
40 GB HD
Again, Tiger. Curse you, Leopard and your system requirements!!!

Finally, last in my list of slightly non-obsolete machines, we have my poor little Blueberry iMac. Sitting with no bottom, it forlornly awaits the savior that is a new CRT.
400MHz G3
256MB RAM
13 gig HD
Tiger (ahahahaha! SLOW!!)

More apple goodness to come!
